From the Desk of Kevin CincottaSeptember 8, 2000 Dear Pat, I want to formally thank you, and your organization, for the assistance you have given me in the matter of the "unsolved" homicide of my mother. Your support has been tremendous; and I fully hope and anticipate that, very soon, it will bring out the long overdue closure of this case It is thanks largely to your efforts that I know that the individual who most certainly committed the murder, and that that individual will almost certainly be in prison for a minimum of 28 additional years. Clearly, our work is not done in this case. ... I might add that your organization may use me as a reference, publish my name on its website, etc. as an example of a victim's family whose situation improved greatly through SHE's efforts - even if certain specifics should be left out. I should never have lost my mother in this way, meaning that I should have never met you. And none of this should have happened. But it did happen, and given that it did, I feel fortunate to have contacted you. Please use the contribution not only to bring about the long overdue closure of the Cincotta case, but also to assist those other families who, through combinations of horrific crimes and police inaction, simply have nowhere else to turn. Sincerely, Kevin Cincotta edited for privacy
