Criminal Profiling
The Sexual Homicide Exchange is able to offer Investigative Criminal Profiling services at no charge.
At any point in an investigation, our team of professional profilers are available to assist Law Enforcement. Profiling can bring a fresh view to any homicide investigation, providing new ideas and alternative avenues of investigation. At times, profiling may simply validate the present homicide investigation and satisfy the concerns of family members that the police department has done all they can to bring closure in their loved one's case. Profiling assistance is also extremely beneficial in suspected serial homicide cases as profiling can bring new light to a case, increase leads, narrow investigative focus, and link a series of suspected serial homicides. Additionally, working with a profiler is an excellent learning opportunity for investigators unfamiliar with certain aspects of crime scene analysis, behavioral profiling, or sexual or serial homicides thereby increasing the closure rates of present, future, or cold cases.
