CAPTURE: Coalition for Apprehending Predators through
Utilizing Resources Effectively
CAPTURE is a program designed to improve serial homicide investigation and reduce the number of serial killers at large.
Wrong methodology has been the bane of the last hundred years of serial homicide investigation in this country and little is being done to effectively change the situation. SHE is presently developing the CAPTURE program (Coalition for Apprehending Predators through Utilizing Resources Effectively) to address this serious deficiency in public safety. CAPTURE will help develop Suspected Serial Homicide Units within Police Departments that will use new techniques of inter-jurisdictional networking and suspect data bank inputting, improved serial homicide investigative techniques, practical investigative criminal profiling methods, and new strategies with the citizens and media in order to increase proper suspect identification, decrease misleading investigative avenues, and significantly reduce the number of serial killers on the streets.
